I am a Den Builder

Making a den – a timeless rainy day activity, but for some, it’s more serious than that. A den is not just a playspace, it’s a shelter, a makeshift ‘home’ after fleeing from danger or disaster. This Toolkit looks at den building as a team project, a STEM activity incorporating design techniques and logistics, and the PSHE and social aspects of the need for shelter and refuge. ‘Save the Children’ encourage us to ‘build a better world’ by holding a Den Day to raise funds to help more children around the world have a safe place to sleep and play.
